Do you guys know if this is a good journal to publish for a grad student? The impact factor is quite low, 0.125. Or should I wait at least 1 year ++ for the journal of econometrics?
    Thanks

There are no advances in econometrics. All is now known.

I think they're talking about advanced loans between econometricians. This journal keeps a record as to who still owes who. Like when Peter Phillips still owes Don Andrews a coffee because he didn't have cash on him the other day. I'm not sure what it means for your career to be listed there.

The problem facing Advances in Econometrics is that there is this giant fence standing in the way.

I want to reiterate the OP question: is there any respect for the "Advances in Econometrics" series? (not sure it's right to call that a journal).
