She might do it if "it's the right thing for the country and her family." In other words, she's not going to do it. Then again, you never know with her.

The rise of Sarah Palin is more puzzling than the equality premium puzzle.

    No, Sarah entertains the public.
Because she's a joke and she still doesn't see that.

Fox News machine is behind her. Bill O'Raily, Hannity, Glenn Beck etc promote her reincarnation of Ronald Regan. Just listen to one of their show. Also, Ronald Regan was very much like her, and not many people took him seriously at the beginning.

If she's the nominee, Obama's job is safe.

Obama’s next election is, perhaps, not that easy situation. Obama hasn't kept more than 95% of his promises (see: factcheck.org). People are now seeing Obama’s real personality and character, and rightfully, they hate him now. If the current economic situation continues then a change is inevitable in 2010 and 2012. Even if economy improves, still, it will be very hard for Obama to get away from so many lies, and more importantly, playing with people’s emotions. He sold hopes and dreams to the grassroots for personal success. He used “have nots” for his self interests. It is very hard to get away with this. It is not only unethical, I know many many those people who cheerfully voted for Obama and now, rightfully, very very angry (feeling used/abused/made fool).

NOT AT ALL! Don't forget that the median voter of America is slightly retarded.

i think that Obama thought that his job was going to be easy, but he has found out that it's quite difficult given the political agenda that almost all politicians are pursuing. and his advisers and team are facing the same challenges

I think Obama has terrible ideas and am in no way a tree hugging hippie democrat who uses "she" instead of "he" as the dominant pronoun in all my writings. But Palin is just an utter absurdity.

For that reason I hope she becomes president.

It would just take politics to a whole new level of absurdity. And Keith Olbermann's head would explode, which would be fun to watch.
