To all those defending the inclusion of MS in a ranking of finance journals: who are you trying to fool? The IF of MS is entirely due to papers in completely unrelated fields such as informations systems or operations research. If you want to include non-finance journals in the ranking, then there are many journals in econ, econometrics, and even accounting, that completely dominate MS in every possible dimension.

The question here really is, after I get rejected from the top 3, where should I send my finance paper?
JFQA would be an option, so would RoF, and MS is also an option. The truth is, at this point, no one really cares - so you should ask your department what counts at your place and move on to the next project.

You may disagree with me, but this is what counts for tenure at top 20. For top 3, you need a good dose of econ journals thrown in in your resume to make the cut.
