People bash the US - but they elected a black (at least half black even if not African American) president. I can't see any European country electing a non-white head of state. Their sanctimoniousness is matched only by their bigotry. The US is far from perfect, but to me it is the best country in the world.

Loosen up for christs sake, that cake was a piece of artwork. There was a performance artist inside the cake screaming each time a piece was cut - hilarious. Art must be permitted to be provocative, though I am not in the slightest provoked in this case.
"The US is the best country in the world" You wouldnt happen to be a US citizen, would you? I am happy you love your country. There are many people that would say the same thing about their country (especially in scandinavia).

But all that is the past, in the present the US has a non-white head of state. No European country has come close.
