Failed the math for econ course. No good prospects.
1st year here. Quitting today

I am not mean, I am honest. This is what all of you thought, but were pussy to say.
You are mean, cruel, and stupid, gametheory01...We have compassion and we do joke around but not when a fellow Bro is obviously struggling...If you can't tell the difference, then there is something very seriously wrong with you.
Just suppose OP is trolling, but this is so serious that you do NOT take the chance.

No, I'm not gt. I'm just surprised at what a bunch of nurturing little pussies we have here, that's all. Here's a morsel of comfort for OP. You found out you aren't cut for this early on. You've saved youself a lot of time and you will be happier in the long run.

Sorry to hear, bro. Sure this can't be rescued?
do not listen to this guy. if you failed math for econ at your school, you are not cut out to compete at your school. either leave academia or go to a lower ranked school.Completely awful "advice". Failure is a great teacher.
Take another crack at it if you can. If you can't, don't get down on yourself. Unless you are at like one of 7 super high ranked programs an econ phd is a complete waste of time anyways.

So you're wondering whether you should drop out of the program. Something you have to ask yourself and answer truthfully is, why exactly did you fail it? If you really were studying very hard the whole time and you still failed, then it might really be time to call it quits. But if you spent too much time dicking around on EJMR or chasing poontang (ok, maybe not), then if you get your head on straight then your prospects could still be good.
