I guess going back to Korea doesn't sound bad now.
올해 한국대학에 지원하는 박사과정분들 있나요?
US top 40 tenured > SNU (stable job till 65 years old ) > US top untenured, but that's just my preference
If you guys could choose between SNU and US top 40 tenure track job, what would be your choice? I know most of us (including myself) won't have such a choice set. But you can dream. I am just curious what people think.
I guess this depends on personal preferences. But if you decided not to go back to Korea, then location will be quite an important factor. If located in big city with good education environment (for your kids), then good. But if it is in out-of-nowhere (like most of state universities), then perhaps you might consider moving to somewhere else at the end.
