I told a buddy of mine in korea that germany has better unis overall and him knowing only US academia well was shocked after looking through the Mannheim, Goethe, Frankfurt School, and Bonn directories at my suggestion. the thing is while you'd recognise the names of some ppl there you don't immediately realise he/she is at a german school. but the similar would also apply to a guy in germany or singapore w.r.t some ppl in korean schools (being surprised that say, yongsang or jwc is now in korea). I'm sure folks in germany take pity on DS moving to korea. tbh he could have moved to singapore and the move is solely bc of his wife -- someone that knows DS
