Hi bros, i plan to apply in this cycle. What do you think about difficulty of getting admission from top30 school. will it harder than previous cycles 2021 and 2020 or it will be easier than last two years. i will take references these year when applying since my budget is limited

Bro i hope we can get offers because it seems that i will spend yearly income of average person in my country.
Schools have the funding to wave admission fees for applicants facing financial constraints. If this applies to you, take advantage; it's literally free money.

Turns out departments got record numbers of applications this year. Seems like all the people waiting to apply after Covid finally did so. Every single department's admit rate went down by like half.
I feel really bad for whoever applied this cycle (or will be applying the next. I don't expect this to get any better anytime soon. Especially with the economy about to enter a recession).

Admit rate (in general, not just econ) was lower this year than last year. Last year was the result of deferrals from the first pandemic year. This time it was an increase in the amount of applicants, which is worse.
