Don't underestimate VV!
Seems to be the story this year isnt it.. all these lemons (even Chicago, Harvard, Stanford) turned out to be a big dud and ended up with no good offers and now their pushy advisor will still get these underserved a T25 placement. So unfair for the rest of us who are trying to get ahead on merit!

I will never understand the twisted thought process of such people and finance/econ is filled with them. So you enter a profession/field that you supposedly love, spend almost a decade(your 20s and mid 30) at a huge opportunity cost. But if your output at something you work on so passionately for so long is so poor(no pubs, no R&R, no major conference), then that should be a big red flag, isnt it?
