Need more details...how did he backstab whom (don’t have to reveal the name but who he/she is in relation to Bs)
BS... karma will meet you next year
What did BS do?
BS is a vicious kid from Alaska. Pretends to be the nicest person ever in front of you then stab you in the back whenever has the chance to. He better watch out. Mama K and Papa R can give you papers but not buy you a job.
Ask ANYONE from Cornell about BS. He is an a$&. Keeps trash talking about PW and other colleagues. Used the LGBT flag to become protégée of KR and RB. He will see the market outcome when someone from UT knows about his secrets.

Rookie here. Done with flyouts (as of now) and no job offers. Applying to virtually every school now that I can. What are the chances of a "second market" opening up in Mar/Apr? Is this common? To the extent that many rookie jobs are being taken by seasoned folks moving, it seems more likely that their vacancies will be filled Fall 2020 / Spr 2021. Or do schools have incentive to enter the Spr 2020 market in the near future?

Sucks to hear. Was it a tough year or were you unlucky? IMHO the secondary market is very limited.

I mean, there's the handful of schools like UH and UCSD that have unexpectedly opened positions. That hasn't been common in prior years. Besides that, who knows...

Wasn’t UT listed as one of the departments with the worst cultures? Maybe it will help there...

FV and MO are both arrogant 2-faced pricks without any substance
I am not MO. I am, in fact, competing against MO in the market this year. But, MO is a nice guy, and has a lot of substance. He is smart, works hard, and will do well.
MO is the smartest candidate in this job market

I think it's mostly a tough year. Heard there are rookies with R&R(s) and 0 flyouts.

W o w. Just wow. Couldn't you be more correct?
-
MO’s RDDs with revenue as running variable is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen...no way firms can manipulate right? Especially if the treatment is super costly to firms...but hey, let’s use the most conservative manipulation test, forget about the bunching left of the threshold, and call it causal...that’s what fraudsters do

MO has flyouts from Wharton, Stanford and LBS. Three top schools. Are you saying these schools are stupid? MO is the best candidate this year

LBS is not a top school...all top 5 schools passed on MO for a very good reason, including Stanford where he visited...HBS/Chicago/MIT did not even invite/interview him
Stanford gave him for a flyout. He was shortlisted at Stanford. Plus LBS and Wharton gave him flyouts, these two are top schools. MO is the smartest this year

We were discussing MO not LBS. But LBS has top notch academics. Go and browse some of their CVs.
