What about the Job Market 2045/2046?
I would like to understand how the cohort that is currently gestating is going to perform.
Only serious answers please.https://data.unicef.org/wp-content/uploads/country_profiles/China/Nutrition_CHN.pdf
Data is a little old, but trends are promising. The China bro cohort should be strong.

How much do you know about accounting research? Work with an accounting prof on a project and get a good letter.
I am also in Econ PhD program.
I already passed my qualifying exams in Econ PhD.
I think I know quite well about accounting research. I am really fascinated by accounting research. Nowadays Econ scholars study a lot of irrelevant topics, such as Why Indian Children are shorter, and you can go see them in AER. And I feel that business schools are the ones studying serious and relevant topics.
Currently, I am already working on a few financial archival research projects. I have taken one accounting seminar class. I will continue to take accounting seminars. So I will be able to get letters from accounting professors.
But the main issue is also don't have much work experience. Based on the sentiment in this forum, it seems that generally those top elite or research intensive schools dont care about work experience but teaching schools care a lot?
Would this "fXXking work experience issue" significantly lower (or even eliminate) my chances of employment at those VLRMs/teaching schools if my research is not strong enough to be placed in research schools? Is it possible to get placed in teaching schools without work experience? Would your salary get affected?

You also read fake to me...like you just want to sound like someone in it not for the $$$. Good luck

How about just go to big four for a two month intern? You can still do research and read papers after work.
It is so easy to get some work experience if you are truly worried
Or if you truly want to signal, get a CPA in your spare time. It is not difficult. Also fun to kill time. If you are smart enough, 50 to 100 hours will be sufficient to pass each subject. How much do you know about accounting research? Work with an accounting prof on a project and get a good letter.

I am not the same person asking this question. There are many people who wanna enter accounting academia, haha
Well, at least you made your troll post longer before asking the exact same questions for the hundredth time. Solid job.
Then get a PhD with a major in accounting.
Look, we don’t hire Econ phds. First, the teaching issue: We need to train you to teach, really well (even at HRMs), and that can take a couple years if you’ve never taken accounting classes yourself. We expect you to have at least taken classes through intermediate 2. Otherwise you won’t be able to up with our students.
Second, the fact that you aren’t in an accounting department, submersed in projects and our research. It’s not just a matter of taking a couple accounting seminars.
If you really want this, switch majors. We don’t hire econ phds. They don’t count toward aacsb accreditation.
