AEA Fee Lunches: Pay $100 to watch HRMs eat

I attended the paid lunches at AEA for the first time this year. The weirdest part was when Athey would read out the names of all the people at the like High Table. Most of them never spoke! The vibe is very much "Thanks for the $100, now you get to watch these HRMs sit and eat."

There's not even a Q&A at the end. Wouldn't want the LRM dupes who pay for these lunches to express an idea I guess.

I will not waste my time and research account funds with these events in the future.
