   They should know they have a big responsibility towards the candidates and the public in general. maybe all this has something to do with the politacal context in Côte d'Ivoire (uncertainty due to the fact that the president announced his candidacy to the next elections)... Anyway, no matter the reason, it's sad to see how they are handling this process.

   They are far away from professionalism!
   If they could not stick to their first plan, why not simply communicate so that people can have some visibility?
   I am fed up with this kind of conduct and I think that they will NEVER EVER talk about the YPP 2020

   I think the media has enough to write about without bothering about the delay in recruitment at any organization. After all, they are not legally obligated to hire anyone, nor to inform us about their decision.

Although completely separate to this, for the AfDB Mo Ibrahim Fellowship, they have expressly stated that AfDB will not be accepting any fellows in 2020 due to COVID. I suspect that it is the same situation for the YPP - although they haven’t bothered to notify us.

   if i'm correct, when afdb moved its headquarter from tunis to abidjan, they postponed the program as well. the whole process took about one and half years. i hope this time it would be the same.

    Well AFDB May have delayed(a lot in fact) but we are African and Africa is our business .Kindly don’t benchmark us with foreign institutions and more so some that continue to indebt out countries with heavy foreign debt...Africa is our business....How we run things and how we don’t run things that is our business.....This is the kind of neocolonialism that we object and repel with every Inch of African that is in me and us..Our problems are ours alone...look for an African institution and benchmark with that and forget about people that have impoverished us and still continue to do so, to-date. Let us find solutions that address us as Africans we are NOT and will NEVER be whites...whether world bank contacts or Not ; so what, that is them. Give solutions for that are African tailored and for us. All the best my fellow hopefully whether we make it or not; at least do not bash our African institutions by comparing with the Whites..we are African and Africa is our business period.

    Hi everyone, yp from last cohort speaking. Please bear with HR, the process is still ongoing. It has faced some delays due to various issues including adjustments linked to the Pandemic. No one has been contacted yet for an interview or feedback so all of you are still in the game.
