For some of us, living might be negative utility.
Alan Krueger died
-
His note he left is especially chilling, he must have been going through so much in his internal struggle. I mean to write "Darkness imprisoning me, all that I see, absolute horror, I cannot live, I cannot die, trapped in myself.." you have to be going through some serious struggles. RIP.
Those are Metallica lyrics.
This is a mentally ill troll who keeps posting this b/c their mentally ill mind thinks it's funny.

I do wonder what happened to Kruger. It does sound suspicious I’m wondering if someone went after him with a complaint or something and he couldn’t bear the humiliation after seeing what Roland Fryer went through. He was a very different personality, but, Title IX and such cast a very broad and sometimes unfair net, with a very low bar for evidence.
Newspapers suspect foul play. Read today's Daily Mail.
All I see is:
"Krueger was best known for his groundbreaking research into minimum wage and the effect it had on labor.
He determined that a higher minimum wage did not slow down hiring as conservatives have long argued. "
and
"Krueger was an avid Twitter user who tweeted daily until the end of January "this makes me think that something strange happened to him on 1/30. Big behavior changes, such as withdrawing from public forums like Twitter, are often precipitated by bad or embarrassing news. I know that when I failed tenure, I went blank on social media for months. So who knows - maybe he got a bad diagnosis or someone tried to blackmail him over something embarrassing. The suggestion that it was tied to the AEA survey in some way seems silly. More than a month and a half passed between this event and his death, so he probably thought about it deeply for quite awhile. Whatever it was, it must have been too much to bear, and the world is worse for it.

I never knew this part of it. Wow, certainly was going though a lot in his troubled mind.

So his cause of death was listening to too much Metallica!?

Tipper Gore warned us.

Isn't the most likely explanation something related to a recent
diagnosis that he had (i.e, some type of cancer where he is told
he has a year to live)......and he just couldn't take something like
that in his future........I'm just speculating, for this class of person
that typically would be at the least risk of suicide... -
