How could a (seemingly) healthy person’s heart just stop? RIP.
Alan Krueger died

For those of you who aren't in labor economics - I just want to explain that Krueger's name evokes strong emotions from some individuals in this field, both positive and negative. Krueger, Card and their students are a closely knit network, are passionate about their work, and have occasionally made enemies by criticizing one paper or another (notably a faculty member at Stanford accused them of being sexist).
It's distasteful to air out those opinions after the individual passes away. But some of these comments are not trolling. They reflect real pettiness and hate, and it's part of the cost of being a prominent economist with a long career in the academe. Academe is petty.

This is very, very, very sad.
A lot of people assume that all they need for happiness is professional success. Clearly, this isn't always the case.
I have an issue where I always tell myself I am too busy working to get the mental healthcare that I need. I shouldn't do that.
