i agree with you on that, but nobody really uses advanced traditional stats either. i hate to admit that, as an expert on that.
Amount of regrets in life rapidly increasing

advanced ml? LOL please. It is not advanced. It is very silly. Traditional stats is much more difficult than ML. The reason why they're ditching ML is becacuse the guys that are in charge of the data pipelines don't know math or stats. ML's popularity is due to the fact that it relies on non parametric techniques. It's basically like magic for IT guys. But now it's clear it doesn't really work, so they're lost and will just go back to the old ways. I suspect data visualisation will now replace ML.
people have realized that the cutting edge ml/stats methods don't offer that much over simple things except in niche situations, and everyone knows the simple stuff. it's all about software engineering now and building data pipelines, not so much advanced ml, even in the big firms.
Ml is wildly successful and forms the backbone of fb and google

Up until about the late 20s, I did very few things wrong or made any decisions that I would change much now.
However, since that time, I have rapidly started making quite a lot miscalculations, especially in terms of career moves. I am now pretty unhappy with my situation, though it is not too bad and it can get and most likely will get worse (and fairly soon). Moreover, the bad decisions is stuff that undermines a lot of sustained effort, so I feel pretty spiteful and futile. I have made at least 3 major decisions over the last few years that I would definitely change if I could, and now my life is getting quite unpleasant.
Anyone else feels like this and what are your thoughts?Don’t want to get too personal, but since you mentioned there were at least 3 major decisions that you’d definitely change if you could, would you mind elaborating on what they were?

I don't know anyone who doesn't have some serious regrets with decisions that they made in their 20s.
Imagine this is the year 2523 AD when humans can live literally for thousands of years through gene treatment and machine augmentation. How funny would that be when you have thousands of years to live any life you want? Would suck if it's dystopian af though (e.g., imagine being a wage cuk for 4000 years at StarBux Moonbase).

You smell like masala
They never used advancecd stats. That actually requires one to understand how things work.
i agree with you on that, but nobody really uses advanced traditional stats either. i hate to admit that, as an expert on that.
Then you don’t know it either, numpty.

You’re hallucinating again, numpty.

What does data pipeline has to do with ML?
