your teaching evaluation might make you stressed. it might affect ur next contract. a single mistake in students grades may deteriorate your reputation.
About 120-150K (USD) for a 12 mo contract for fresh econ PhDs
About 200-220K (USD) for a 12 mo contract for fresh finance PhDs
Expectation for tenure is comparable to top20 US though (3-5 As for finance) - unreasonable but that's what they expect.I'm not an economist so YMMV, but I was offered less money, but a 3 year contract. As you said, publication expectations were high, but the upside was a 1/1 teaching load.
If we can't get tenured in singapore, the next move won't next u.s., hk but mainland. Then those guys are mean. they know you don't have outside options at that moment. so they will at most give bit a bit more than tubie professors, 5k rmb per month or a bit more.
5k RMB or USD?
You're completely clueless.
