lol everything is good here in singapore
Beginning of the end? The fall of Singapore

The key difference between Singapore and Japan/SK is that Singapore has this large underclass of migrant workers. How are you going to keep a virus from spreading in one of those prison-like migrant dormitories?
Singaporeans' addiction to having low-cost labor, in order to sit around all day, is going to bite them on their expanding asses.

Singapore is a joke. Close to 400 cases a day now despite the partial lockdown. They treat foreign workers like sh*t and the virus rapidly spreads across worker dormitories. The country’s confirmed cases per capita is the highest in Asia-Pacific. Is this the “gold standard“ that WHO praised?

Singapore is r*cist as hell. Won’t be surprised if they suddenly kick out all those foreign workers upon stigmatizing them as virus spreaders. They already have close to no rights. Singaporeans take away passports of nannies and cage them in a little gh*tto side room like inmates, foreign workers can’t bring families to SG unless they make a lot of money, many employers don’t even provide proper leave policies for construction workers who are injured.

It’s illegal to spit in SG and Japanese don’t do that anyway. Whereas in Korea they love to spit at all times of the day. I wonder if that factors into the epidemic?

Just an FYI.
Churchill is probably responsible for the Fall of Singapore. His military told him it wasn’t impenetrable and would likely fall in an attack due to lack of equipment and he ignored it. Britain was going to send several hundred tanks and planes out there in 1941 but Churchill sent them to the USSR (who did not want them).
But because people are taught to follow Churchill in a cult like manner, this and his many other catastrophic decisions get ignored.

No evidence that SG's virus containment effort is more effective than Korea's. And everyone knows SG is way more of a draconian surveillance state than Korea.
