No major vendor released a new tablet on the US market in 2016. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 replacement got pushed into 2017 (although the S2 did get an updated CPU in 2016), the Nvidia Shield K1 tablet replacement was canceled, the new Pixel/Nexus 7 tablet was either canceled or pushed back, and finally the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Play which was announced in August also still hasn't arrived. It's pretty sad. Huawei Mediapad M3 is basically the only new Android tablet on the market, and strangely most people haven't even heard about it. It does look like a good tablet considering the Amazon price of under 300USD (fast CPU, high res wide screen, stereo speakers, etc).
