You guys are idiots. Math PhDs are essentially unemployable unless you are HRM. Lol at thinking you can get a good quant job with a non top 10-15 phd, unless you want to work in some crappy risk job
Econ has far, far better prospects than maths or ohysics
A math PhD carries much more weight in industry than econ PhD unless it's for econ consulting or litigation. An econ PhD is a light PhD and has a poor reputation among employers. A math PhD who knows some numerical anaylsyis, C++, probability theory, etc is highly employable.
