I have met Bigio and he is such a cool guy an he has very interesting ideas and nice papers, he will be fine. Yes, that WORKING paper version had a mistake, I am pretty sure he has corrected and working on a new version, as if you reg/calibra monkeys never had an error. It is not logNaics, it is not Lacour (never forget).
I repeat, NO, I am not Bigio, but I can appreciate the work of a nice young economist that is trying to answer interesting questions. -
Just read this thread. Give me a break. Of course working papers will have the occasional errors in them and garbled proofs. It would only be interesting if it is affecting the substantive conclusion. I've heard nothing of that sort here, or in any case, that is the argument one should make rather than some dull monolog about this or that being "obviously wrong" ..
