Per the title. I'm looking to apply for the BIS PhD programme. How competitive is it? Any idea on how many people they take?
BIS PhD programme. Thoughts?

Where do you see any information about the program?
Well, I would audaciously check on their website...?
Thanks. Will it be an ongoing thing, or maybe a one-off?
This will naturally depend on the experiences they make during the first one or two rounds. If you are looking for something over the next 12 months, supply should be ensured (yes I know it's labor demand...)

Probably easier in the first year than it will become in the future. I would say go for it if you are interested in a policy job later on or have a heavy macrofinancial bent. Fantastic datasets, good networking opportunities, nearly unlimited resources.
Offices in the "Rook" are a nice throwback to another era where you would get your coffee and newspaper delivered by a secretary at the push of a button.
