Why do you think your ideas correspond to reality? There are a few basic economic principles which I think could be called axioms and do represent smart economic practices, but the vast majority of advanced economics consists of minutiae that has no effect or is contradicted by the real world
Phd level economists can be, at the same time, both vastly more intelligent than the average person and yet still have the same real world impact of a HS dropout.

what's the evidence for modern democracy as being definitively superior to every other system of governing? I'm talking about evidence of long term sustainability and wide ranging geographic distribution which encompasses vast varying cultures.

His economics advisior is a chicago Phd with a winning track record on pretty much everything he did throughout his career. Including becoming a millionaire. I suppose you are the real economist though.
lol at Russians in this thread defending the end of Brazilian democracy.
Trolls trolling trolls
I'm not Russian, I am Brazilian. And I think you're have no basis whatsoever to think this is the end of Brazilian democracy. Maybe it's the start, since we had the same party ruling the country for the past 16 years.

Sure thing, Ivan.
Watching Western liberals ITT try to argue that mandatory transgender bathrooms and safe spaces for feelings are more important than economic growth/fighting poverty/ending rampant corruption/creating safe spaces for not-being-shot is amusing.
People care about increasingly trivial things when they can provide food and security for their families and when they feel their government isn't an ultra-corrupt cesspit. If Bolsonaro takes care of those material issues, then you can go all in on on child drag queen shows or whatever else you want.
I like you. We should hang out sometime, maybe get some ramen.

well, he tried to become an AP in epge and puc rio but was unable to

He wasn't unable, he's Chicago PhD.. back in his time in Brazil this meant instant access to the best departments.I'm not even saying he has a good research output, I'm just saying this wasn't required in Brazil back then. He just didn't want to commit and preferred to pursue money

Because of some mainstream economists conspiracy I guess.
I say that as a big fan of Uncle Milton, this won't end well. This Bolso guy really sounds like Maduro if you don't listen to the pavlovian music.

Yeah just like DJT was supposed to bring the third world war but instead he brought peace between the koreas

well, it's impossible to know his true motivations unless you are close to him. But if you read his interviews and profiles made by journalists that talked to him, it becomes somewhat clear that he did wanted to become a professor, and he blames some kind of conspiracy against him. He even went to Chile as an AP! This story that he never wanted it and just preferred money seems like a personal post-failure excuse. And do note that I'm not saying academia is strictly better or more honorable than the market/industry. But he wanted academia and couldn't go.
Réal world this, real world that. The markers of an idiot.

go back to 4chan, this is not about left and right, but about a basic commitment to democracy.
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -- Thomas Jefferson
Or a more succinct variant:
"Sometimes democracy must be bathed in blood." -- August Pinochet
Brazilian democracy was damaged by decades of corruption; Bolsonaro is actually the remedy.
