   This threads are always so hard to understand for me. It's december, and you want to rank a specific set of top 20ish schools for a field. Why? Just wait and see where you get.
   If you're not an USC troll, but then weak, you should have put it in a upper ranked list like comparing it to Yale and Northwestern.

   UCSD > UCLA ~ Duke ~ Brown > BU ~ UoT > USC

   For dev, if you know what you want to do, choose a school depending on your potential advisor.

    Op here. A pre doc for same prof last year got into Yale / northwestern type of places, but she was probably pushed harder than I will. Tier below could work. I’m not a usc troll. My prof says in development they are good and tried to hire SJ. If they manage to hire a very good senior they are comparable to the other listed in development? Maybe UCSD > duke / brown / bu > ucla for devo?
