I wonder how many pre-meds would bail if we reduced MD tuition AND salaries. Most, I suspect.
Simple, just let foreigners apply to medical school in the US.

Artificial intelligence will change the whole game in the not-too-distant future. The GPs (and lesser-paid Physicians Assistants) will have access to data on every condition known to man. They can then run all of the tests needed to send you to the correct specialist. About half of what goes on in specialists' offices is sending you to another specialists so that'll take a big bite out of their business. A tear just dripped off of my face for them.

Not really, someone somewhere is always desperate enough to do a job. We have the best military in the world and pay 18-year-olds $30k to get killed.
