Unfortunately, I do not think he'll get tenure at Princeton. He just focuses on taxis. It's too narrow man!

Luflade at Penn from DukeHe got a preceptorship at Princeton which only promising junior faculty at Princeton get such as Plagborg-Moller and Jarosch, who are/were well on track for tenure at Princeton. So who knows whether he is on track or not but due to COVID extensions he has time before he goes up for tenure.
But you are right he doesn’t have much of a pipeline and all his papers are on taxis. His research agenda is too narrow and that too with the same bunch of people. If he gets tenure at Princeton it would be shocking. Hopefully Princeton will find a good replacement in IO and tenure Adam Kapor
I don’t know why the department has been promoting him so much by giving him a preceptorship when he is in fact worse than the economists at Princeton who get criticized here for affirmative action such as LB or ED when the two are arguably better scholars than NB and better at advising as well.
