It's for my advisor. He is a big name in the profession, with probably more than 50,000 citations, but he doesn't have a google scholar account, I think probably doesn't even know how it works. Is there a way I can build him a profile without email confirmation?
Can I create a google scholar profile for someone else?

You should probably talk to him first.

Fine, but is it possible? I think this is actually possible since there are post mortem and unverified profiles out there...how does one go about making one of these?

I'm not really asking for advice, I just have a question about the features of Google Scholar and how to make a profile for someone without the e-mail confirmation.
Can't be done.
How does Arrow hae a GS profile?

This sounds really suspicious.
I just wanna help. Besides, the more recognition he gets, the more recognition I get
But why is it important that you don't require email confirmation? Why not just explain the benefits and recommend getting together sometimes and setting it up with him present, if he's not inclined to do it himself?

Alright. I haven't talked with him in a long time, he was my advisor, he is "emeritus" now, and he has not been in his best mental shape lately. I want him to have a footprint wel stablished so he can leave an even more enduring legacy. Futhermore, maybe if I show the impact of his work in an objective way trhough the citations, he is gonna fell more motivated and happier. Why am I doing this this way? First, it would be awkward touching the subject after more than one year of no talk. Two, I want this to be a nice surprise for him. It's one of those things I know he will tell me not bother doing, but I know he will love seeing that page set up with his name and the citation graph and the list of works by citations and all that. I want to establish his legacy, he helped me so much.
