Alberta will not survive. It is hill_b_illy country over there. You take away the oil jobs and they're basically done.
Americans are too hard on Canada. GTA is a joke, and so is Vancouver, but the rest of the country (outside the maritimes) is doing great. Alberta will survive without oil, and hopefully Quebec will save us all from the endless stream of useless immigrants.

Edmonton isn't great, but Calgary is a fine city. It's not the 1970's anymore, the province isn't completely reliant on oil like it used to be.
