Happening all the time. Major lay-offs at all Danish Universities over the last four years. They fired re-known full professors with two hours notice. There is nothing even remotely comparable as tenure at Danish universities. If you want to work in academia, DO NOT COME TO DENMARK, period. It'll kill your academic career for good.

I mean they do have good soup kitchens though so you should be good
