I was very angry at the time and was really felt i was targeted. In hindsight i was not and just failed a standardized test.

There are many who never accept their own accountability, and end up like Karl.It takes a long time to realize this. Maybe I took longer than usual. Id like to send an email at some point i think it would be akward.
Fortunately many are visitors/posters here, so hopefully they will see this somehow.

They didn't let you do research because you failed some crap standardized test that has nothing to do with research and you just wasted a lot of time and effort. I think you were right to be angry, maybe not at them but it's a d/umb system.
It was honestly probably the best thing that ever happened to this person from an objective standpoint. No sense getting a phd these days.

Nah im doing a PhD just doing something different somewhere else. I believe in the comps as a pass fail test. believe they are necessary despite the fact I was axed because of them.
