Apple is a private business whose business is not DeSantis's business.we live in a society. free markets are an ideal, but they take routine p1mpcaning to function.
Wasn't it until recently that Apple wasn't even an American company? But an Irish company? So, if Apple decided to move back to Ireland, are you saying that DeSantis, who isn't even President of the United States, nor is in any way involved in the Federal Government, which according to the Constitution has the exclusive power to regulate commerce and intercourse with foreign nations such as Ireland and China, would leave Apple Inc., the multinational technology company do its business in peace?

He is not talking about actions he will take. It is a general normative statement about how he wishes the world should be.

US companies shouldn’t give aid and comfort to foreign enemies.

From the linked tweet: "..merit a response from the United States Congress."
He is not talking about himself as the governor of FL. Man politics arguments are so du/mb, people won't bother doing the least bit of reading.

What about Irish companies?

Libshlts love to make this argument when a business discriminates against conservatives, but somehow when Twitter starts to treat conservatives fairly they think we need government intervention.
Just to emphasize what utter BS all this "foreign enemy" posturing is, the United States, China, and Russia have not for one moment, in spite of the disputes in Taiwan and Ukraine, broken off diplomatic relations. The President has even nominated a new ambassador to Russia and has sent her nomination to the Senate for confirmation. We also recently appointed a new ambassador to China. Of the countries in the world that are our real, formally declared enemies, like Iran, North KOrea, Cuba, and Afghanistan, we have diplomatic relations with none of them.
Besides, the United States is not at war with China (or Russia for that matter), so if we're going to get all legally technical, neither China nor any Chinese citizen nor any Chinese company are foreign enemies. They're just foreigners.Found the wumao.
I mean this is true, are you declaring war?
