Doleac explodes on Texas A&M

Ironically, from every single interaction with every TAMU affiliate (alumni, current PhD students, faculty), TAMU is that really positive and supportive place to thrive in. Of course, politics is everywhere. But you really can’t blame anyone else for the fact that you made TAMU a toxic environment with your bs while working there.

She’s not on a 12-month contract.
It is a little strange there trying to get her to go without a month's salary before starting the new job. Maybe someone from the provost's office can explain
I can’t speak for A&M but Austin runs a 12 month salary schedule.
12 month salary schedule is not the same thing as 12 month contract. You're simply spreading your 9 month salary over 12 months.

At my department, they stopped offering a choice of a 9 month salary schedule because (and I quote), “only you economics guys chose it.”

She is right for once. No decent school would pull this.
A lot of people are responding to her saying it happens all the time

Temple backdated my resignation to June when I took a job at Amazon in August. They clawed back my 12 month spread from July and August (on top of my summer stipend
