   Precisely. What is the point of counting the number of blacks/asians? There is no problem of having over representation of blacks if their output is substantially better. Same for asians, or any ethnicity. Why should we judge on ethnicity instead of potential, output, contributions, etc.?

   I do not know whether we can or should shut down EJMR. But whatever is decided, we also need to recognise that it generates negative externalities that cannot be avoided by simply ignoring the site. n/n

   Lisa Cook got tenured at MSU while having a way worse record than colleagues getting tenure at the same time, and having got more time. And she is complaining about not having been promoted to full. This is bs.

   EH is four years out of PhD and doesn't have a single refereed publication. And I guess she will complain it is sexism when she will get denied tenure.

   For those who are pressured to follow her on Twitter, what do you think about her Twitter feed? She shows zero interest in economics based on what she posts everyday and she seems not to realize she is wasting the attention bandwidth of her fellow economist followers.

   It is a bit weird to have grad students with 200-500 followers who are constantly making interesting observations or tweeting out recent papers etc and get no engagement and her get so much attention for weird teenage insta type tweets which have little to say about econ.

   They are under this impression because this is what is actually happenning usually. They don't like something, they say it's racist or n@zi, they ask for it to be shutdown/cancelled, and they often succeed.

    That's definitely not real analysis. Sounds more like abstract algebra where you can make up some groups and fields with very counter-intuitive properties.

    What has 1+1=0 got to do with Real analysis. She obviously probably never touched baby rudin and is a pre-doc at Harvard
