Yet she’ll probably have HRM tenure in the end. Speaking as someone who is both POC+working class etc reducing everything to one lens without any evidence is so stupid.
Within the subset of ppl on the margin of submitting to QJE , the POC won’t be likely suffering from the economic and health disadvantages of the average POC so no reason to think that white men or POC men would have substantially different productivity.
More like Anna Grifty. She's insufferable.

the pandemic is disproportionately impacting communities of color
Isn't the pandemic mostly affecting wealthier areas?
And don't academics of color live in the same communities as their colleagues?Black people are dying at higher rates because they're more likely to be obese and have high blood pressure

She's a graduate student at Harvard, so not an AP yet. Not very smart to speak these things in public, where some people might not align with such politicized views.
On a side note, she lists her only pub, which is in an undergraduate journal in her CV.

Is AA gonna help her that much? I have friends who did RA for econ professors at VHRM and HRM who could not get into any HRM
- HRM bro who’s worried she might come to his program

I mean if you have a decent undergrad+170 GRE+ extremely prestigious predoc how can you not get HRM? Like even Colombia or Princeton. What do you think were the gaps in your friends profile curious as I’ve rarely heard of the best predoc programmes not getting you anywhere..

People like DP are part of the problem. She is afraid of being called a racist and always gives in.

"Sorry in that case I totally misunderstood! All my other tweets are then moot ... The under-representation of black researchers in econ in general is of course a huge issue and a concern that I deeply share as you know."Not the first time she did this.
This is DP getting schooled by her
https://twitter.com/itsafronomics/status/1184143065730056192after DP was accused of "erasing black women economists"

"Here's DinaPomeranz responding to my criticism of the erasure of black women economists in the quote with more erasure of black women economists."
