Why is Edhec anti research? In what sense?
It changes publications target at the very last moment and compels some profs to work for its business incubator no matter their contract
This:
"compels some profs to work for its business incubator no matter their contract"
They also: increased the number of teaching hours, decreased the teaching releases, increased the publication requirements, are less and less accommodating to researchers' needs, and of course, have not increased salaries.
The direct consequence is that all active researchers are leaving and the department is sinking into the limbo of mediocrity.

Isn't EDHEC afraid to lose publications in top jpurnals and its academic reputation??!
In the core of the problem is poor governance and collusion with private interests in research center. The school funds the institute with enormous sums of money, and forces professors to promote institutes. NA and LM are able to impose how the deanship acts. NA made millions from selling another institute a few years ago. They want to do that again , and for them losing LC, CC, DZ, IM, maybe tomorrow RU , ES doesn't mean anything. For them Edhec is a profit center and researchers just disposable input. Sad state of the world

I am sorry, and what it this talk about "business incubator" and "selling institutes"?
I would like to understand what you are referring to as I have always considered EDHEC as a possible option for the future. But I see from the discussion reference to concepts that are not familiar to me given my experience in other schools. I never worked business incubators or sold institutes. My job is just research and teaching. There must be some unique context in EDHEC that I am not grasping.
I heard they’re hiring AM’s coauthor Smeesters to help with FT50 pubs
Dirk Smeesters was an extraordinary success story. Until it became clear the young, Flemish professor had manipulated and even fabricated his data. What exactly happened and what will change in order to prevent fraud in the future? On massaging data, data detectives, and shades of grey.

Blame our corrupt direction, Emmanuel Metais and his team. EDHEC hires mostly fraudsters that belong to the mafia of FT journals and exchanging signatures on many papers to fill their pockets with bonuses. The embezzlement scheme is being dismantled in other French business schools but not at EDHEC.

Don't be paranoid. EDHEC used to hire good researchers to publish well, just like any other good department. It will no longer be the case for a long time.

Paranoid? We can't keep our mouths shot seeing so much corruption at EDHEC.

Apparently, you know more than any insider. You might be a god.
They killed academic freedom in the name of sustainability. Just look at the SDG nonsense they are shoving down everyone's throat. It's only to push their idea that sustainability is the next business venture for EDHEC after Scientific Beta. And Professors are forced to write basically fraudulent papers-and jeopardize their careers by settling for low quality papers-to push an agenda that will enrich only the Dean and his cronies. Despicable. Only good thing is that this whole thing will collapse with EDHEC losing any remaining shred of credibility after all serious researchers have left.

Interesting. How does the Dean make money with this sustainability agenda exactly?
The Institute (TI) contacts an institutitional investor (II) and ask what they need. II gives them 200k for a project, TI hires "researh engineers" to do the work.
The idea is that TI grows and is eventually sold. NA and his cronies pocket half, the rest is for EDHEC.
But NA and his cronies need EDHEC. They ask their puppets at EDHEC to hire academics for credibility. This brings people like DZ and IM. II asks the profs to write papers that give academic credibility to TI and its work. DZ and IM refuse and a conflict arises. Rumours are IM has already started legal actions after being told she "cannot anymore write on climate" as her research goes against TI.
This is the conflict. It has always been like that. Until EDHEC solves this problem and people like NA stop calling the shots, this place will always be in boom and bust cycles where they pay shitloads to the next RU and LC for the cridibility of EDHEC and they leave when NA and his puppet EM tell them what to do.
Dean doesn't. His friends do. Now GTFOYou are lacking in describing a plausible mechanism. Without that your claim does not convince. How would deans friends profit from edhec researchers writing bad papers on sustainability?
