The post above tells it well. If major press picks this up , it would ruin a lot of credibility of EDHEC, but also force the Dean to resign. Likely there is a misuse of funds in millions and someone can lose much more

The Institute (TI) contacts an institutitional investor (II) and ask what they need. II gives them 200k for a project, TI hires "researh engineers" to do the work.
The idea is that TI grows and is eventually sold. NA and his cronies pocket half, the rest is for EDHEC.
But NA and his cronies need EDHEC. They ask their puppets at EDHEC to hire academics for credibility. This brings people like DZ and IM. II asks the profs to write papers that give academic credibility to TI and its work. DZ and IM refuse and a conflict arises. Rumours are IM has already started legal actions after being told she "cannot anymore write on climate" as her research goes against TI.
This is the conflict. It has always been like that. Until EDHEC solves this problem and people like NA stop calling the shots, this place will always be in boom and bust cycles where they pay shitloads to the next RU and LC for the cridibility of EDHEC and they leave when NA and his puppet EM tell them what to do.Dean doesn't. His friends do. Now GTFO
You are lacking in describing a plausible mechanism. Without that your claim does not convince. How would deans friends profit from edhec researchers writing bad papers on sustainability?
DZ was hired by the Business School only, not the institute. Yet, he has been under pressure.

It's ridiculous that AM has not faced any consequences yet. His discussion with Faculty last week was an embarrassment. No answers, even to the most pressing questions. How can you trust a guy who tried to get someone fired weeks after he joined?
What official qualifications does he possess to be Dean?
We know about his extracurriculars.

Kolev, was this guy AM at Edhec at your times? You would turn him on his back like you did turn UK shysters. Full respect bro
I heard they are going to rehire Kolev
They have been courting the Kolev... But they are trying to lure the Kolev back to Lille, and the Kolev does not want to go back to the Gulag...
No, at my time there was no AM guy. In my time the working conditions at EDHEC were very good, they treated me very well while I was on the "tenure track contract." Also pay was good for EU standards.
But I think by now all the good people who created this good working environment are gone. So I have no idea what it is like now.

Let me tell you, no other Bschool in the world is capable of creating an institute and sell it for $200 million to a stock exchange.
Insiders, just be proud for the achievement and for whatever you got instead of being greedy and fighting over the internet.
Top-5 in US can't do what you guys did. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the Euros.
Yes, they sold their risk institute (Scientific beta) to Singapore stock exchange for 200mil. Rumours say that a couple of insiders pocketed half. But no clue.

Sit back, increase the teaching of all professors in research tracks, all researches at the institutes, heads of programs, heads of the research institutes themselves, decrease funding for academic research, give up conferences, and block all expenses from research budgets, you mean?

Nonsense
Look at Hebrew University and how much people affiliated with them raised in the market. Billions.
Selling something in the past, doesn't warrant annual investment of 5 mill in center that advertise non refered results. Why institute geniuses don't do Innovation outside of the school.Let me tell you, no other Bschool in the world is capable of creating an institute and sell it for $200 million to a stock exchange.

That's not the issue, though. The new regime wants to replicate this model of selling an institute by forcing Professors to work on b/s papers that help EDHEC create credibility in the sustainability space. The papers and all the bogus little indices and tools they are building are part ERCII once it's being sold. The professors who create the IP are not being compensated, only the Dean and his lackeys (MA, AL) will get a piece of the pie. The faculty members are being made unemployable by other schools because they can't produce research of the quality that makes them movable.
It's cynical how they are lives of people and all the resentment that is now building up over the attempts to kill academic freedom and a professional research environment will come back to haunt EDHEC in a big way.
