I think a true top school has a plurality of perspectives.
When implicit bias results in repeating the same research ideas And dismissing alternatives for being different. Plus, we all can appreciate that resources available early on help make or break someone. So by giving the resources to white cis males, the department is perpetuating and reinforcing bias for years to come.
Enrichetta Ravina sued Columbia for $20 million in Manhattan federal court for allegedly failing to protect her or stop the harassment. Who knows how this thing ended? Were is she know? Why was she up for tenure only in 2016 while finished graduate school in 2005?

Sounds like it's good for the attorneys...No kidding, yikes. The attorneys always win in these cases.
As a non-american risk-averse person with very little knowledge on the matter, my conclusions are:
- I would probably avoid to work with either her or the other guy
- Legal costs in the US are just cr4zy
^ And I guess that’s why women go around with five men with zero sense of loyalty under the garb of finding the right match. Of course, easier to be selfish than loyal.
Interesting perspective. I guess that's why in the part of the world, women are covered up.
