That’s ridiculous. In Spain women go back to work four months after giving birth.
As a woman, you get 18 months extension (on top of the 12 year rule) for every kid, iircOnly women? Dads don’t take care lf their children in Europe?
In the past, only women would get this extension. Now, if I'm not mistaken, men can also get an extension, but only by the amount of months that they go officially on paternity leave. Whereas women get the extension no matter how long they go on maternity leave.
(And yes, it's bizarre especially for countries like Spain and France, where women go back to work ASAP)
