   Now this verifies that you are a pig bugger.

   You are the loser freak (Economist 6d03). You cannot claim journal title/name duplication as illegal (because we all know what is legal and what is not). So you resort to talking about the "irrational" and the "immoral" because we all know that THERE IS NO UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTABLE definition of what is "irrational" and "immoral" even among people within the dismal science. "Irrational" and "immoral" obviously vary from culture to culture, from time to time.
   For example, many people in the Middle East still rejoice to this day and believe that the 9/11 bombings were perfectly rational and moral because Americans like you do not stop meddling in other people's business, and making anonymous, personal attacks on professors simply because you are a loser and cannot publish on your own. Even this entire site is obviously a farce because it is only used to make anonymous, unverified, opinion-based, clearly personalistic, false claims about what what you and a few others in this blogging site call "fake", etc.

   I am not an author in the Journal of International Economics, but I do agree with the people who are pointing out here that there is nothing really wrong, illegal, immoral or irrational with similarly named journals of publications. Readers are discerning enough to rely or cite materials that are only useful for their purposes based on original and scientific contribution, not the journal's name. When I search for references to help write my paper, I do not look at the journal's or author's name, but rather the contribution and relevance of what they wrote vis-a-vis my topic.

   Same thing with similarly named colleges. There are at least 6 unrelated colleges named Southwestern College in the United States, and no one has ever called any of these 6 colleges fake, pretentious, etc.

   The intentions of these people who publish in these journals are pretty clear. Similarly, since the journals know this fact their intentions are clear too. They do not aim to do scientific research but rather sneakific research. This is the immoral part. This is similar to selling Reebok shoes (or say Reébok) and arguing that consumer knows the quality by looking at the material. It doesn't work this way. There is a reason (though not the whole story) for why brand names are more expensive.

   No, you cannot simply say that you don't look at the names of journals and just look at the context. The reader may or may not be an expert in that specific topic and may want to rely on an expert's opinion NOT a Charlatan's opinion!!!. There is a clear distinction between those. So, no sir you are fooling yourself by your arguments or being cynical.

   People don't list ISSN numbers on their CV neither know what these numbers are for each journal. Here, the issue is similar to listing your May AER as a regular AER publication IMHO (I find this a more disturbing though).

BUT that will just be within the realm of our perverse imagination, since we can never ever prove it in any way. Second-guessing intent is not proving anything at all.

    There is also obviously no intent on the part of any journal to fake anything by having the same name as another journal; someone in this site already pointed out that the ISSN is a unique identifier so no one intend to fake. Many of the best scientific and world-renowned journals (some of which were listed in this site) also bear the same, exact names. Lastly, there is the case of 6 colleges in different states but exactly named Southwestern College that was cited by a smart blogger yesterday. Are we gonna say that these 6 colleges meant to "fake" each other, that the "intentions" of their founders (to fake) are clear, etc.? Come on, why don't we attack the various Southwestern Colleges in the U.S. and call them fake? But if we do, which then is the real/genuine Southwestern College and which ones of the 6 are fake? Ha! ha! ha! No wonder, Americans are often the laughing stock of the world for being presumptuous and know-all. Even Italians often make Americans, like those whiners on this site, the butt of their jokes.

    Stop wasting your time arguing nonsensically over journals. There is no such thing as a fake journal or a fake Journal of International Economics.

    Economics is not medicine or law or engineering or accounting. It is just a fake discipline. No such thing as real academia in economics because it is a fake science, a dismal one. You all economists are quacks, that is why you have time to argue over something worthless.

    Economists are no more than fools, fake scientists. This site/blog site is the best proof. Anonymous jerks debate here, as if the Journal of International Economics (Elsevier) is genuine or more valued, etc., but the Journal of International Economics (Rome) is not. Wrong. Fools!

    All Economics is a fake field of study, a big joke, a fake science. So are all the academic journals in Economics, That includes the Journal of International Economics (Elsevier).
