Did anyone else get the email asking about visa status? The wiki says they have 'called', have people received actual interview invites?

Insider here. Many interviews are already scheduled but the bulk will go out next week, most early in the week. The citizenship thing is real. If you are finishing a US program no problem for you, but if you are finishing a program outside US, you need to be either a US citizen, a GC holder, or have lots of pubs to be eligible for a special visa.

Any chance for interviews and eventually getting a special work visa?

Things changed, Fed will no longer sponsor H1B.
Chinese and Russians without green cards cannot be hired in the board or regional feds
The majority, the Europeans, will still be hired. So nothing changed. Chinese/Russians have never been the majority hires.
Are you sure they won't provide H1B?
I don't think so. Yes, they maybe more selective, but not outright nilpotent.

This troll again? Are you going to be posting this every 2 days? Why? Apps are in, people are looking at them and making decisions already and inviting whoever they want to invite. Do you think that posting here will make them change their decisions?
Look people, if you applied for one of the feds and they didn't pick its just because they found somebody better for the job among all the apps they received.
