What are the WFH perks at the Feds? Guess there would be decent variation but are we taking about 2-3 days WFH now?
Fed vs. University

Fed board defaulted into full time WFH I think. Each treasury agency figured it out on their own, almost all are WFH default. Regional feds, don’t know

A lot of people transition to feds and from feds… so not much difference with schools.
WFH: different feds have different approaches. Look at Board or at Richmond to see flex arrangements, and St Louis as an example of going back to the office. Each approach has pros and cons. -
Wow, this makes the Board even more competitive versus academia, compared to the original post 4 years ago.

FRB: you have to come in 6 days/month.

How competitive is it to get into the Feds? I got my PhD in Finance from a VLM. Some of my friends say it should be easy to land one since there aren't that many finance PhD's with US citizenships (relatively speaking). Not sure if this is really true. I'm a rookie btw.

Lol are your friends at the Board ? If you’re VLRM you will need top pubs for sure. FRB does not require US citizenship this is a myth. At least half the new economists hired each year are non citizens or do not have green cards. How competitive is it to get into the Feds? I got my PhD in Finance from a VLM.
