I was just on the verge of getting an offer... Guess I will have to wait until April. Can't believe a President is getting in the way of me advancing my career.
Federal Reserve System Hiring Freeze
-
Can't they just tell candidates who are on the verge of getting an offer to wait out the freeze? It expires in 90 days right?
No one knows what will happen in 90 days. And everyone expects freeze may be extended while they work out the 'plan'. Too risky to ask candidates to do this.

Like the above poster said, nothing is guaranteed. Ideally, if the freeze is removed in next couple of months, Board will still contact some candidates to see if they are still available. However, no one can guarantee that this will happen, so the candidates should behave in such a way to assume that Fed game is over.

Lie... we didn't contact anyone and there's not even word of it here...
They're contacting candidates that they interviewed before but most of those candidates accepted positions elsewhere. Fed made a big mistake this year by complying with the retarded hiring freeze.

Then why the f**k you contacted me?

Safe to say the freeze is still on Until April 23, considering we haven't been through the 90 days yet. The FRB of Atlanta is still recruiting for positions, so its still very possible that they reached out to prior candidates but I doubt the freeze has been "lifted".
