Are you implying they should exit altogether or continue to downgrade their aims?
The way you find out if you're deluded is that the market tells you. Like, if I'm looking for a job that pays in the top 5%, and I find that job, I guess I wasn't deluded. Meanwhile, there's someone out there aiming much lower and not getting it.

If you're not getting what you want, lower your standards or improve your product. But I think a lot more women are just ok with being single.

Of course, because society is set up to support and subsidize them. They're net recipients of tax dollars and insurance payouts, they have orbiters and friends so they're never truly alone, and they can get casual sex whenever they want it. Society has their back at every turn, and they're generally never allowed to fail or 'lose.' So of course they're just ok with being single.

That's a separate complaint. If you know that your standards are making you single and you're ok with that, you're not delusional.
