People on twitter think they used ads. But all these speculations were made when the original tweet was posted. Nothing since then
Today, a weird post was made on another thread about this paper. That post had some details like organization name, anonymous server name (or something like that), City, continent, state etc. That post was removed within a minute. I wonder if it was a spam post or a representation of the type of information the authors were able to collect
