70-80% are female in quite a few HRM, MRM, and LRM in US, EU, and Asia.
Bro losing hoap?
I just randomly checked the wiki, and saw two LRM schools invited a bunch of people to the campus. One has five candidates, four are women. Another one has four candidates, all are women. I can also name some other schools that are doing so.
These schools are LRM but still very solid and are wonderful place to work. I actually think these female JMCs are doing great, and if anything, I don't oppose the idea of gender imbalance in flyout (in favor of female economists) to a certain degree, but probably you shouldn't go too far.
as a male candidates, I never felt I hold any advantage over a female candidate, in the opposite, I sometimes feel excluded, females have their own events for mentoring, have supports on Twitter and on papers. reading job descriptions it is even clearer- we would like to increase the number of females ...
Unless you are HRM, we are f**ked.
It would be hilarious if that's just for show, an in the end they hire the white male. Indeed, if he's already chosen, why not invite a couple of ch1cks to let the world see how progressive you are.
It can be harder to explain to a dean who's breathing down your neck that you turned down a candidate with desirable demographics for one without.

that's why the OBLANCHARDs and the Bernankes and the other living legends can prattle on about gender issues; AA will never affect them personally. Negatives are absorbed by the not-quite-so-elite men who miss out of jobs for which they are better qualified.
yup. There's zero incentive for these people to do anything. IN fact, it's the reverse: it makes them look virtuous and the AA pawns below them will not criticize them. It's perfect.
