In which field is it easier to obtain a tenured position at a German university: Finance or Economics?
edngineering or gender studies
Does anybody has an idea what is a typical annual basic budget for junior professorship with tenure track in Germany? I understand that it will depend on university, but having a range would be interesting and helpful.
I have seen that some universities offer a 50% PhD student position, other even a 100% position. What would be a typical research budget?
Thanks!

That sounds a lot to me. I was expecting a smaller amount.
Any other experiences?

5k in my case. It might even vary within university, depending on how good your negotiating argument is (do you run field experiments, need lods of computing power, expensive datasets,...).
