Why should you rely on "evaluations". Corr(standars, evaluation grade) < 0

You're welcome. I sit in lots of these commissions and think the "teaching philosophy" is complete bogus. If anything, these boilerplate statements will help you not to look unprepared. A large part of job talks in Germany is showing that you have done your homework and you have thought about the faculty you would be joining etc.
What about digging a bit deeper than the boilerplate statements and look at the actual teaching performance of a candidate? With this I do not mean some average from an evaluation, but evidence whether anything of the teaching philosophy was put in practise. Most comissions are too lazy to do that, though. They rather rely on a 30 minute "Lehrvortrag" that says nothing about the day-to-day teaching performance.
Who cares about teaching?

I know all APs in Germany are smart. Most of them have promising papers and proven accolades. They are very picky in terms of hiring.
They are very handsome too. They know the ultimate balance between looking professional and attractive. Blonde white guys are better than Italian black-haired machos.
