Care to share any details? Why has he lost it? What has he done?
And Konrad, by the way, has worldwide reputation.Konrad is a joke! On top of that he completely lost it...
I find it unbelievable that there are Potrafke bots that upvote pro-NP posts around (and downvote the others). Seriously? I never met a NP fanboy in my life.
Maybe employees of the ifo Center for Public Finance and Political Economy? Maybe same Hiwi who edits his Wiki pages:

Stating that NP publishes a paper every two weeks is nonsense. Because counting papers published in 2019 and forthcoming as papers produced in 2019 and then extrapolating to December 2019 is nonsense. If you want to count his real per-year-output (I know, you do not want that), just take an average of the papers printed in, say, 2014 – 2018. This is 5 or 6 with no clear trend. So the correct number is more like a paper every two months (with co-authors). Is a paper every two months a sufficient criterium of bad quality? Well, look at Acemoglus output. Of course, NP is not Acemoglu and not everyone thinks that Acemoglu is a genius. Also, I am not saying that NP produces high quality. But let’s just stick to the facts.
Also, NP publishes in 6 or 7 different outlets, not just two. Blame the journals for accepting bad work or even for their existence because your personal standards are just so very high, but do not blame NP for publishing there.
But you have to deduct the fact that NP at ifo has other duties, too. So he has max 50% of his time for research. So it is more like a paper every fulltime month.
And yes, his papers are bad. Just read them. It is even embarrassing to see him present.
Southern european here,
isn't a bit silly that germany didnt give itself zufrieden after defeating france and poland and then establish a german state consisting of these three countries and making peace with all the others?
so Freiburg has 3 calls for W3, isnt it a bit silly?
Finally, this thread gets juicy ...
Indeed. In comparison to what was mentioned, the fact that some of his grad students used to tell me about quite sexist remarks/jokes of him (used to be intern at ifo when NP was already there) seems kind of too boring to throw in..
