Do you guys really talk about FHs here.It just makes sense to talk about FHs here as well. There is oversupply for professorships at universities. So candidates look for alternatives. By law FH professorships are very similar. Yes, there is a higher teaching load, you don't get a secretary and research associates and the research environment is worse (but the number of research professorships at FHs is increasing). But apart from that? For many this is second-best to a position at a university (for some even first-best). From what I heard there were around 100 applications per FH professorship in economics lately.
Indeed. Frankfurt School is a FH, at the end of the day.
