Who got w2 finance position in Halle (IWH)?
IWH to FN from IWH
W2 TT Banking at Münster to CorpFin CS from Tilburg.
The team Becker/Riedel will make sure that two of their friends get the positions. No doubt. But it will be funny to see the 100+ applications from very good and at the same time very frustrated postdocs in Germany. Two open W3 in Münster!
Invitations are out!
As far as I remember, they required teaching and research statements which, if done well and aligned with the position, can easily take half a day to prepare. Hard to imagine any tenured profs would go through this unless they are very sure to be among the top candidates. At least, it was the reason why I didn't apply (although einschlägig in a wider sense for one of the positions).

Many tenured profs applied.
Well, at least Riedel herself likes to do that. So she should not be surprised that many will do so when her university advertises a position.
Of course many tenured Professors have applied. Who doesn't want a salary increase at their current place?FD06 doesn't.
hemorrhoids on steroids.
Doing Shleifer’s work. Visiting Shleifer for a year or two. Shleifer hiring him. What does Falco have to do with it? How much do you want to bet that soon he will have a QJE and Restud the latter thanks to NG?Still impressive connections.
So it seems that Armin Falck did it again and placed a student in Boston (i.e. Graeber to Harvard). Impressive.Well Harvard Business School. That's quite different from the econ department, though still impressive
bonn places quite well; only place in germany.
